(September 13, 2021, 12:01 pm)"A safe and kind place to come to" is what comes to mind when I think of First Place Options (FPO). Some of the women, and men, who come to FPO are vulnerable, marginalized, struggling financially and without adequate support. They come to FPO looking for help and hope. They may have an unexpected pregnancy and just need help sorting through their emotions and all the options and implications in a safe, non-judgemental and trustworthy space. Maybe they just need material support. Many others come because they have had an abortion, whether in the recent past or the far past. The trauma and the memories haunt them and they need compassion and help to work through what happened so they can move on in their life.
FPO is 100% supported by donors who believe in what they do. As one of those donors for over a dozen years now, I deeply appreciate the profound healing impact that FPO has on the lives of hundreds of women every year and count every dollar I give as a sound investment into their lives. -
