I took my 1 year old german shepherd with lots of aggression to Randy. From the initial evaluation the results just blew my mind! I've tried various other reputable dog trainers around Ottawa but they rejected my dog due to him being too fearful and full of aggression. Randy was definitely a lifesaver. More than teaching the dog, he trains the handler to overcome any sort of behavior. He always takes his time, answers any questions and is always ready with methods to make your dog the best! Thank you very much Randy! - Praveen & Jak!!

Rocky and I had a great experience with Randy and the Canadian Canine Training Academy.
When we first started, Rocky was aggressive towards other dogs and people. He was not listening to me, barking like a mad dog and generally ran the show.
We had the eight-class obedience training and had great success with them. The program is manageable, and the homework is easy. Do it! It really helps to complete the program.
I can now walk Rocky with little stress and more, I feel confident that he won’t hurt a dog, child or adult.
Kim in the office is a very professional and a gem to coordinate with.
    Stars all around!

We have been taking our dog Nacho here for private training, and it has been nothing short of sensational. We saw immediate results for many of Nacho’s negative and anxious/aggressive behaviours. Randy taught us how to best control him, and taught us how to create a relationship with Nacho where he had a higher level of respect for us, the owners. Now Nacho very rarely challenges us, and will almost always listen to us when we give him a command or tell him to stop doing something (barking etc) - it has been amazing.

Nacho is not perfect and we will continue working with him, but over the 8 weeks he has become such a kind and loyal dog, and is much more enjoyable to be with.

If you have a stubborn or anxious/aggressive dog, the work will be hard, but Randy and the team can definitely get you the results you’re looking for.

I took my dog, 3 yr old male Shepherd mix, to see Randy after struggling with leash reactivity towards other dogs and children (or anything that he thought was a threat). He was bit pretty badly by another dog in East Africa, where I volunteered for an animal welfare program. He was 3 months at the time, and I've had him ever since. When I came back to Canada, we went to puppy classes and socialized but as he began his inappropriate fear-based behaviours I struggled to understand what his triggers were and how to alter them. After seeing trainers, asking co-workers and veterinarians I had no luck. Frustrated and anxious, I finally found Randy. After the 8 week private basic obedience sessions I can finally say I feel confident in my abilities to lead my dog into any situation. We still have more progress to make, but I'm so proud of our improvements. I now take my dog into work everyday at the veterinary clinic and recently moved downtown. Randy is the best canine educator around and he's got some pretty awesome stories about his past times.
    1000% recommend - thanks a million,
    Andrea and Zazu 🐾

Excellent trainer, would recommend to anyone who has obedience issues with their dogs. These guys are professionals and absolutely know what they're doing. I'm so glad I brought my 1 year old malamute here, I'm enjoying spending time with my dog so much better now!
