(May 15, 2021, 2:10 pm)I contacted DEC when my roof was damaged after a storm. Having no workmanship experience myself, I needed the support of an expert. The same day I contacted DEC, the engineer showed up only a few hours later. Not only was I impressed with how diligent he was in assessing the damages, he also took the time to evaluate some other areas of the property that I was concerned about. His attention to detail was encouraging and his recommendations were reasonable. He also recommended some great contractors that got the work done efficiently and effectively. One final element that I appreciate about DEC was the personableness of the engineer - he didn't rush, he listened to my concerns, and genuinely cared about me as a customer to get the best advice.
