Not inexpensive, but worth the cost given the priceless value of some of the data which was lost to a failed back-up device. I highly recommend Capital Data Recovery Inc.

From the time I sent them the drive to the time I received it back (with all the files intact), it was just under a week. They were pleasant and very easy to deal with. I highly recommend them!
