(November 23, 2017, 5:12 pm)I love our library. It is a community hub for our area. You can use the internet if it is not available at home. You can read about current events on the bulletin board. It is a convenient meeting place for groups or individuals. Speakers and demonstrations are always interesting. The staff are cheerful and helpful. BOOKS, BOOKS AND MORE BOOKS are always available and the librarians have great suggestions for us. We are lucky to have the library in Campbellford Joan McCulloch

(November 18, 2017, 5:18 pm)I LOVE the Campbellford Library! First and foremost is the welcoming and knowledgeable staff. The books, of course, are the primary draw but the staff are what make my visits so pleasurable. Services that I appreciate are inter branch borrowing and the opportunity to reserve a book. The personalized phone call when a reserved book is available for pickup is an added bonus. I also appreciate the display of books on the counters. Often two of my selected reading is chosen from these books on display.
Our library is so much more that just a source of reading material. I love the ever changing displays of work by local artists. Computers, a writers club, the monthly book club, children's events, guest speakers and seasonal events provide a true meeting place for the community....our library does it all!!
The number and varied hours of operation work well for me. I wonder, though, why libraries in Ontario are not open on Sunday. It seems to me that Sunday once had the reputation of being a Family Day; an opportunity for families to browse through the stacks discussing which books would best meet current needs. Perhaps this would preclude that library staff would also miss out on their own day for family!
The very physical structure of our library is special too. Blended old with new combines a steeped respect for its function and also a bright and cheerful vibrant place to be.

(November 18, 2017, 1:15 pm)The staff is friendly,knowledgeable and helpful. The atmosphere is comfortable, pleasant and peaceful. If they don't have the book you are looking for the staff go out of their way to get it for you. Events and programs are constantly being offered. It is everything a library should be.

(November 17, 2017, 1:48 pm)I have found the library and the staff to be most helpful. I am often in need of a book not available at the branch and they are always most helpful in locating it and bringing it to the library for me. The same applies to films and DVD's
The one suggestion I would make is that there be more enforcement of quiet in the library itself. I have often gone there to do research and been distracted by people who receive phone calls and even continue to speak on their cel phone while disturbing others around them.
