(August 7, 2018, 2:11 am)I spent 4 days at the Lodge on the Point with 3 others. To say we were blown away with our experience would be an understatement. The owners of the lodge were extremely kind, they helped us out with everything we needed immediately and also gave us space to enjoy ourselves. They offered to take us on a pontoon ride, where we spent the day swimming with fish (they have snorkels), cliff jumping, floating in the crystal clear Manitou lake and listening to music. We also went out at night to watch the sun go down and look at the stars. This is "off the grid" - but you do not feel like you're "roughing" it! The cabins are all newly renovated (ours had a complete kitchen, three bedrooms, a fireplace and more), the dock is beautiful, the pontoon boat is brand new with a bar and they even have wifi in the main lodge (so rare for the north!). Every cabin faces the lake thanks to their peninsula. I would HIGHLY recommend this for friendly summer trips, romantic couples retreats (two of our members were a couple) or corporate group travel. I will be returning at LEAST once a year. The drive is so worth it! Thank you Lodge on the Point!
