The "New" Baldwins Resort

I would give 3.5 stars to be exact but Google won't allow half stars. This review is about the Maple Leaf Room. The place itself was really quite good! Cozy accommodation, well equipped very entertaining common lounge with pool table, ping pong table, board games, piano etc., lovely yard outside with a fire pit and really pretty decor with nutcrackers, miniature models, a decked up Christmas tree among other items. As for the food and service, we felt it could have been better to be honest. Dinner served on the first night was served lukewarm/cold because as per covid rules they asked us not to come downstairs unless called. But then they forgot to call. The guest card stated to call and ask for emptying garbage, changing towels etc. but when I called the number, I got a vibe like they were doing an out of the way favour for us. If towels and garbage was not part of the service I'm not sure why it was stated on the guest card. Also when checking out on the last day, we could not find anybody in the property to hand over the suite key to. So we had to message the owner and leave our key in the suite itself. But we got no response back. Overall, the stay was comfortable though and the guy in the kitchen was nice and friendly.

Great family friendly resort. Feels like you're going to stay at someones house its that cozy! Lots of activities available on site! Lots of different rooms/ cabins available. Not just pet friendly they LOVE animals. Thanks for a great stay!

Absolutely love this place! The food is excellent! The service is exceptional!!! The rooms are cozy, clean and comfortable! Cutest decor, night time fires, amazing staff!!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice little getaway! They have an ice rink, a playground for kids, lots of wildlife around the area, beautiful and spacious. We have really enjoyed our stay! Thank you so so much!

Nice cozy place, pet friendly and a small store within walking distance. Charlene was great and the rooms where very clean. We took a room outside long buildings with fireplace.
It’s a little quiet now so the pool was out of service. Not sure when they will have it back but not a huge problem.
My brother mother and wife stayed there the week before and had an excellent stay there too.
Will have to go back for a summer stay but out building we stayed in has no air conditioning. Will have to check if the main building has or air conditioning is available? Heat isn’t a problem with fireplace and eletric baseboards.

My family and I had the best time staying at the New Baldwin’s. It was everything I had hoped for and more. I rented a 2 bdrm, 2bthrm cabin which was perfect. It was clean as was the resort grounds. So many things to do and of course the waterfront dock/beach was so amazing! Special shout out to Laura and Charlene who are very accommodating! Also Steven, who is a server is the restaurant was great. Lastly, Rob who is there as a volunteer wwoofer, was so informative and so very pleasant to have daily talks with-really made the experience that much better. The place is rustic which is personally what I like for a cottage country getaway!
