(April 4, 2019, 9:39 am)One of the best kept secrets of Wortley Village; it is a full size lawn bowling court neatly installed in a residential area. If you like lawn bowling, then you'll enjoy entering a virtual other world as you see the glories so well hidden.

(July 16, 2018, 6:34 pm)Healthy, humorous, and hardy. Lawn bowling is for life. Try it. It is not hard to learn. It is a social or competitive game, and any person of any age can play.
No equipment needed at Elmwood. Wear flat shoes (no heel), and they supply the bowls.
Located at the end of the 10-foot full alleyway, the hidden gem of Wortley Village spreads out in front of you.
Elmwood was founded in 1911 when the good folks of the neighborhood bounded by Wharncliffe, Bruce, Edward, and Elmwood.
Quiet, tree-sheltered and bug-free this bowling club is the cat-meow

(March 18, 2018, 7:51 pm)Excellent social and excercise sport. All ages and all talents. Four (4) one hour bowling lessons in consecutive Thursdays. Social, new friends, outdoor activity (in a game you will walk about 2000 steps), friendly or competitive?
