We ordered the traditional bites box and the shawarma Halloumi quesadilla box. Both were so amazing. The garlic dipping sauce -to die for - and the fries were super crispy and flavourful. Staff was very helpful and gave great service. We will definitely itely be back…..thanks Shelby’s at West Five!!!

(October 2, 2023, 5:24 pm)I got the Chicken shawarma bites box, traditional style. One of the many go-to’s I have from Shelby’s. I loved the chicken shawarma bites, pickles and fries very much but the coleslaw had a strange fishy flavour this time. That isn’t the case in the Masonville location. Who knows! Haven’t ordered Shelby’s in a while so it could possibly be a change in recipe?
Regardless, shawarma is delicious for a quicky! Good garlic sauce and the pickles were fresh. I like the flavourings they put on top of the fries too. Wish they drizzled more pomegranate molasses on the top of my shawarma, but no worries! I got a bottle at home that did the job.
I have to say, the Ayran (Yoghurt drink) is an absolute must have! Definitely try it if you haven’t.
I like Shelby’s! The best quick shawarma joint around. Note that I say “quick”…it’s not meant to be gourmet.
