We were celebrating a medical victory for my husband, and wanted something a little luxurious, not some conference centre kind of hotel. I did a lot of looking in order to find just the "right" place. I liked the look and story of Carter House, and now that we've been there, I'm even more delighted. Kelly has managed to retain the historical ambience of the Carter House, while bringing it up to this century with luxe updates. It's a stone's throw to the Bridal Veil Falls, and for those with cameras in tow, you get the full benefit of a dark sky environment just about 2 minutes from the front door. A super comfortable bed, with lovely linens and fluffy towels, ensuite bathrooms in every room. Definitely worth the trek to Manitoulin.

Great location, right beside the Bridal Veil Falls and close to Cup and Saucer trail, Gore Bay, etc. Kelly is a great host and really takes care of you. Breakfast is amazing (and big)! It was unfortunate that when we visited a lot of the restaurants were closed for the season, but Kelly helped us find good options that were still open. Would definitely return next time we visit Manitoulin!

(September 11, 2021, 4:13 pm)A gorgeous century home in Manitoulin Island. Just steps from Bridal Veil Falls. You can hear the sound of the river and the food was equivalent to being in a Paris Bakery.... Divine and decadent.

This Bed and Breakfast is immaculate . Beautiful grounds and a very welcoming hosts who are sure their guests will have a great stay.
The home itself has a very interesting history behind it.
Inside the home is absolutely stunning . You have to see it for yourself!
Bridal falls are right across the street as well . -

Everything was cleaned perfectly and the complimentary breakfast was great. The owners truly care about you and your experience. I would highly recommend when looking for a classy place to stay.
