The room was clean, comfortable beds and the shower had everything we needed and more! Will definitely recommend this place to family and friends...

(October 12, 2020, 12:20 am)What a pleasure, we stayed at Wayside Motel for 3 nights while hiking and biking in Manitoulin. Wayside is is not fancy but it is well situated and spotlessly clean. The motel is run by the owner Elizabeth. She is a gem. She was so helpful with maps, information and advice (Loved that hiking trail ...thank you Elizabeth). I will absolutely return here and definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay on Manitoulin.

(September 22, 2020, 3:45 pm)I had the pleasure of staying at the Wayside a few weeks ago as I was on the Island for a few days of work. Elizabeth, the owner was welcoming and the room was clean and comfortable. It’s also worth noting it was very quiet too… Something i’ve come to look for and appreciate on work road trips. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be staying there again. Thanks again for being a gracious host Elizabeth.

(August 15, 2020, 12:36 am)Loved our stay here! Elizabeth was very kind and helpful. Rooms are large and very clean, washroom is a good size with plenty of towels/hairdryer/& water pressure!!! Nice big windows, communal space for meal prep. Our stay was short but can easily see this place being perfect for a longer stay. Peaceful and quiet at night & you can step right outside to stargaze.

(June 26, 2020, 2:46 am)A great motel and a wonderful stay. It served as a great base of operations for my partner and I for our hiking. We'd get back while the sun was setting and relax at the gazebo in front of nicely-kept flowers and trees.
The rooms meanwhile were spacious, quiet and comfy. It was really clean and with all the amenities we needed. They were big with plenty of window space to let the light in or the air out, too, so the whole place felt fresh and bright.
