(May 22, 2019, 2:27 am)To be honest, I only stopped here because I was sleepy and needed to pull off the road. I entered with the intention of only getting coffee and instead walked out with 6 butter tarts, 1 cinnamon bun and 1 bakery item that was described as a cinnamon bun on steroids. Picture a cinnamon bun with cherries and other things too tasty to recall.
First, the butter tarts are really that damn good. I am serious when I say they may be the best butter tarts I have ever eaten in my existence. Better than the best butter tarts that the great bakery shops of Toronto has to offer. I already saved this bakery in my Google Maps favourites.
The cinnamon bun was good but I think it would have been better warmed up instead of cold. I did eventually eat the cinnamon bun on steroids and heating it up this time really made a difference. It turned something good to something awesome.
I also have to mention how gracious the hosts were. They took the time to explain to me what they were known for (butter tarts) and even offered to warm up my cinnamon bun for the road. Thank you ladies!
