Spent two nights here, and it was perfect. The ground are great - swimming, kayaking, canoeing, hiking. The cabins are well-throughout, clean, and the perfect blend of modern and rustic. The hosts clearly care a lot about their work, and it shows. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

We stayed here for two nights. There are only two cabins. We were in the Aeire cabin and we were the only ones at the property for those two nights. The cabins are far enough apart that you can barely see one from the other. The cabins are both the same, and they are very beautiful both in design and functionality. Though you are "off-grid" it does not feel like it. Solar panels charge batteries and there is a battery gauge in the kitchen area to let you know what the levels are. We didn't try to conserve energy and the gauge never dropped below 70%. The washroom is beautiful. There is a 200 gallon fresh water tank under the cabin and the owner (Blair) will come fill it for you if you go through it, but in two nights and three days of pretty much regular water usage we used just over half of it. The area around the cabin is beautiful. The cabins are both on a pond, but it's only a 6 - 8 minute walk down a nice trial to Long Lake which is clean, cool and great for swimming and fishing. Blair has built a great dock there for jumping in and swimming, there's a ladder to help you climb out, there is a canoe and kayaks available (life jackets are in the cabin). He even took the time to put a box in a tree by the lake with flashlights in it in case you get caught there until sunset and have to walk back in the dark - great idea. There was a young bear hanging around but we didn't see him and if you are used to this type of thing while camping it's not a problem (close the doors, don't leave food outside, etc, etc). Bugs are always an issue in the woods but Blair has built a gorgeous screened room on the front of each cabin - fantastic. As for things to do there's short hikes and swimming in the lake. No fire pits but there is a beautiful propane fire table in the screen room. Blair put farm fresh eggs in our fridge. There's ground coffee and condiments too along with plenty of drinking water. Blair's wife Connie had made muffins for us and even a couple chocolate covered strawberries and small bottle of champagne since it was our anniversary. I'm sure I've forgotten plenty here but the long and short is that the cabins are beautiful, the area is quiet, the lake is perfect for swimming and Blair is a fantastic host. We HIGHLY recommend staying here and plan to go back as well.

Pine Brae, just like it's name is a true Wilderness Escape. Glamping in an Eco-Resort. Our cabin was situated on a cliff overlooking a huge pond where deer and beavers call home. It was spacious and modern, stylish and chic with all the conveniences of home and had a lovely fire pit in the screened in porch. The most breathtaking swimming spot is a 10 min hike through the forest along a quaint path. Kayaks, canoes and a newly built dock for tanning and diving adds to the picturesque lake setting. Long Lake is clean and beautiful for swimming. It's also an incredible lake for fishing! Plenty of small and large mouth bass with a few big pike lurking around. And of course an excellent bbq for grilling pleasures. All in all an excellent getaway from the rat-race in order to enjoy the human race.

I booked PineBrae as a surprise for my partner's birthday and we loved it!
The cabins are beautiful and incredibly well appointed. We stayed in the Aerie which felt like a tree house with an incredible view of a pond complete with deer drinking from it and beavers and birds galore. I particularly loved walking the path down to the waterfront with Muskoka chairs and amazing swimming. The cabins are solar and propane so very green and the little details like a welcome package of farm fresh eggs and home made muffins and yogurt parfaits made the experience very special. The owner operator Blair could not have been lovelier and was available as little or as much as you need. All the beauty of camping with all the comforts of home -I highly recommend it for a romantic getaway!

We had an amazing experience at Pine Brae! The cabins are comfortable, cozy, and well-equipped and the landscape truly speaks for itself. Wonderful paddling, beautiful hikes nearby, and an amazing waterfront makes this place an absolute gem. Spending the evenings on the deck with the fire pit and sounds of nature was a highlight.
