(January 14, 2020, 5:47 pm)Been using the resource centre for a while now, staff is encouraging, kind and very helpful which is more than I can say for the receptionist. I recommend going in when she’s not there, other staff go out of their way to help people and make the environment positive, friendly and welcoming. The older receptionist is unapproachable, doesn’t offer any help and lacks sensitivity and listening skills. People go in to ask questions and she cuts them off before they can finish their question/story. If you need help on the computer from her, forget it. My first time going in I left feeling like I never wanted to go back, I’m glad I did, she wasn’t there and my experience was completely different. It’s a shame, what a great resource. Smiths Falls is a small community and no one should leave a place like that feeling not heard or supported. Unfortunately, my nephew has had a very similar experience with this receptionist. Customer Service training is needed.
