A perfect plan to relax with the family or party with some friends! I highly recommend it. Ensure that you go through the locks as you will get to explore the beautiful Trent Severn Waterway! Also, happy days boats have a mooring pass, so if some people onboard are a bit nervous about staying on open water, you can stay at the gray wall of one of the locks! AHOY!!!

We had a great time on the Happy Days 8 sleeper.
We had 4 adults, I think 6 would have been comfortable. 8 adults might have been a little cozy but definitely doable. The intro the morning we headed out was great, our instructor was very friendly and helpful! We had amazing weather for September! No major issues, was very clean and ready for us when we arrived. Getting back was pretty smooth and very quick as other boats were coming in soon. Felt a little hectic as multiple people were yelling instructions to our captain upon arrival but everyone was obviously in a rush. Great experience! Hope to visit again in a year or 2! Highly recommend. Thank you! ?

I have to begin with the quality of the service from HappyDays. Jill and Frank run a business the way that all businesses should be run. They answered all of our emails and phone calls promptly and assured us of our anticipated enjoyable trip. We were flying out to there from the west coast and trying to make sure that all would go well.

We arrived on Friday afternoon to take possession of the 10 sleeper Suncruiser houseboat. I was a little apprehensive of renting this particular boat as it seemed to be the orphan of the fleet. It's the only one of its kind but it was available so we took it. It turned out to be the best choice we could have made. It has a 600 liter fuel tank and a huge holding tank which meant that we didn't have to refuel or dump the tank during our 7 day adventure.

The boat was spotlessly clean and fully equipped when we picked it up. We had an onshore orientation then an on the water training session before we left. Both were extremely well presented. The boat worked perfectly throughout our whole trip. Even my little oopsie with a rock while mooring was taken care of by the HappyDays crew. The cost to repair the dinged prop was surprisingly reasonable.

Our trip went as far as Bolsover to the west and Healy Falls to the east. The weather was excellent with only one rainy night and very light winds. We only had 2 regrets that have nothing to do with our rental experience. One of the sub-buckets on our list was a pickerel feed. It's been 35 years since I've enjoyed a good fish fry. Despite shipping out fishing tackle and rods and renting an inflatable boat from HappyDays, we could not entice a pickerel to our lines. Oh well.

The other sub-bucket was to witness a good old rip roaring Ontario thunderstorm. We don't get them here on Vancouver Island and we all miss them from our days living in Ontario. Of course there was one 2 days before we arrived, none while we were there but one very rare one back home 2 days before we returned.

It was a great trip on a great boat rented from the best customer care company that I have ever dealt with.

Thank you Frank and Jill for allowing me to cross off number 1 on my bucket list in such an enjoyable way.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. The training was great and our trainer was very patient with us. We rented the 6 sleeper houseboat and we had 4 people in total on board. We found the space to be adequate for 4. If you had 6 people, 2 would have to sleep in the kitchen (which turns into a bed). I would say if you have 6 people, go for the 8 sleeper. The bedrooms are very small, just enough to walk into with the bed being against the wall on 3 sides. No closet but a few hooks to hang items. The bathroom is roomy but after a few nights, flushing it really smelled up the boat for a few mins. The houseboat itself was a little tired looking and we did see cobwebs in the doorways to the bedrooms. It seemed clean however but just old. Bring your own lawn chairs and table as the chairs provided are just small basic plastic chairs and there is no table for outside. All in all it was a great experience and we would do it again but probably upgrade to the bigger newer boats.

Best experience I've had in a long time, these people truly care about your time on the water. Professional, courteous, and caring. Their houseboats are clean, very well maintained, and all of their staff are 5 stars. Highly recommend Happy Days for your vacation. Can't wait to go next year.
