(March 3, 2023, 1:59 am)Great place in Ancaster, seems quite new but I don’t know if they just started the business or they recently relocated from somewhere else. Well worth the trip from Oakville in either case. Nice selection of slabs with VERY decent prices. Wish I could have taken a few but I was just there to pick up some speciality glue that I couldn’t find anywhere else, at least not at a reasonable price. I did end up taking a gorgeous walnut squared cookie for an easy laser engraved tray.

(February 19, 2023, 6:31 pm)Zack at Modern Moose has been extremely helpful, and I was happy to follow him to his new store location. My recent purchases of black walnut, aromatic cedar, and ovals are professionally prepared (kiln dried, planed etc) and have been great for my projects. I’m happy he also carries resin supplies, mica powder and more. HDPE molds are available and although I have not purchased one yet, they are on my wish list!

(February 16, 2023, 4:02 pm)Good selection of live edge and dimensional hardwoods for home woodworkers and production shops. Quality is very good - everything is kiln dried. Plenty of stock on high-quality 4/4 and 8/4 hardwood lumber like maple and walnut, huge live edge slabs for larger projects. Lots of hardwood offcuts sold by the pound for smaller projects. Prices are good - sign up for the sale emails and you will save $$$. On-site staff are very knowledgeable and are super friendly and helpful.

(February 12, 2023, 6:50 pm)Amazing place for all things wood. From small offcuts to huge wood slabs, this place is a wood workers candy store. Daniella and Ryan were super helpful and knowledgeable. Though far out in Hamilton, the drive was totally worth it. Highly recommend.
