I have been dealing with back issues for years with day to day back pain at a medium level would increase greatly with exercise, mainly running. It got to the point that I couldn't even manage the elliptical without back pain. I also stated to get numbness in my right fore foot no matter which shoes I wore. A friend advised I check out orthotic inserts for my shoes.
I went into Bioped in Kingston and had them look at my feet. I was advised that there was an issue with the arch that they could correct with orthotics that would change the mechanics of how my foot would move while I walk/run and as such my running gait. Molds were taken of the bottom of my feet and a week later Bioped called to advise my inserts were ready.
I was skeptical of the effect the orthotics would have but decided to go for it as I had tried everything else I could think of and my back just seemed to be getting worse.
I have had the insets in for 3 weeks now and have to say this has been the most positive change to my back health in years. i am now running 30 mins on treadmill 3 times a week and have no back pain afterwards. Its like a miracle, my day to day back pain is so low I hardly even notice it! I have been to chiropractors, physiotherapists and massage therapists for my back, all helped somewhat but nothing as quickly as this. I wouldn't have believed these things could be so effective if I hadn't tried them myself, thank you Bioped, you got it right!
