Although we visited the day after the season closed we met the caretaker who graciously told us the history of the Lighthouse. This is definitely a place to stop. The view is breathtaking. The well maintained and well marked trails are worth the hike.

A must-see in the Eastern Shore. This community-leaded lighthouse is a true gem for visiting. We fell in love with the attention, the story about how the local community restored the buildings, the diaries of old lighthouse's keepers, the displays with information of this and other lighthouses, in sum: a wonderful experience.

And if you like beaches, there is a trail (also maintained by the community) that conducts to a great beach!! What more do you want to desire for a single place??

Important: The community requests an entrance fee of $5 per person or $15 as a family for the whole season. This is a really few for all the information, emotions, and care that you will receive. Then. If you are a grateful person, don't miss to buy some of the amazing souvenirs made by local artisans; another way of expressing gratitude to all the people behind this cultural heritage.

Oh wow! The natural scenery here is just amazing. The lady and the young gentleman at the interpretative center were very informative of the lighthouse history and gave us a nice sample sound blast of the fog horn 😬. The rocky route to the far end of the trail is quite a challenge and not recommended for someone who is not so nimble. But if you do manage to get there, it's worth the trek just to see the beautiful vista.

Love this place, I go almost every second day when I'm on visiting my parents in Sherbrooke (20 min drive away). Peaceful, gorgeous scenery, and if you take the right trail you'll end up at a beautiful beach.

Went in February so the lighthouse and interpretive center were not open. The trails around the lighthouse and to the beach are nice, flat and fairly short (only a few kilometers if you do them all including the loops). The trails need a bit of maintenance but this is most likely related to being off season. The Beach is all rocks no sand but great to watch the ocean waves roll into.
