My children say Sea Star Cottage is their favorite place in the whole world. The cottage is cheerful and bright. It sits well back from a quiet road that leads to Carters Beach. The beach is just a quarter mile away - an easy walk or bike ride - and is truly spectacular with sand dunes and turquoise water. Our kids loved the stream that crosses the beach. It's a great place for splashing and building sand castles. There's a wooded path behind the cottage leading to a private rocky shore covered with wave-rounded stones - a lovely place for a picnic on a sunny day. Port Mouton is a tiny fishing village, but there are lots of things to do in the area. The local restaurants are surprisingly good too - especially if you like seafood. I'd definitely recommend this place for a family beach vacation.
