We stayed one night in a double room in the hotel portion of this golf course/resort. The bathroom was spa like and wonderful but the rest of the room fell flat with a price tag of $500+ a night. We were dodging the conga line of potato bugs in our room the entire time.

The views here are phenomenal though.

We were unfortunately only here for golf and didn't get to stay, but the area is amazing. An absolute gem of a place if you can make your way up here (or "down" here, to the locals). One of the best golf courses in the world, and the people couldn't be more friendly. This was a bucket list item for me and was so happy to get to play here with my dad and cousin on the last weekend before the course shut down for the year. Looking forward to our next trip. I'm the meantime I try to tell anyone I can that they need to make the same trip!

I’ve been to Bandon and Sand Valley so I knew what to expect. Excellence in all areas. Golf, service, food, everything should be laid back not in your face (except the golf views), but very accommodating and always ready to help.

This place was spot on and mailed it in every area. The golf is amazing, service perfect always, good excellent and just perfect for me.

Is it tonight to get to? Absolutely

Is everything rustic? Yup but subtlety high end like heated bathroom floors.

If you love golf, love to walk, love great food/drinks and atmosphere and spend little time in your room other than sleeping this is it. It’s completely perfect for that.

If you want an easily accessible crowded resort with a pool, spa, huge rooms, etc then this isn’t it.

    Absolutely loved our stay.
We stayed in a hillside home. Upon arrival we thought we had to check in over at the links side - you actually don’t have to do that. There’s a spot at the Cliffs in the new bar building to check in and check out.
It’s so gorgeous in there, we did not realize it until our last day, wish we would have spent more time there.

We thought our home wouldn’t have any views, but the homes are so well thought out you can see the ocean from any building! These homes are closest to the driving range. We actually walked down for our golf, but there is no path, we just walked the road.

The homes are beautiful and well equipped. Had a nice card and booze for us upon arrival. Both rooms had a washroom and ocean views with a beautiful ocean view from the main room as well.

Such a great touch having shuttles on call for dinner or golf rides. They were always fast to get you to and from where you wanted to go.

Only complaint is Whits pub. I wouldn’t go there for dinner or food again. Service was slow, food was not great. It was the only meal in our entire Nova Scotia trip we were impressed with. If your just going for nighttime drinks and to party, it’s a good spot!

Loved our trip and will return for sure!

One of the premier golfing destinations in the role and all of the accolades deserved. If possible, fly a private jet close to the golf course because if you fly from the west coast as I did , with connecting flight and long car ride… well, it’s a long day to get there. But fear not if you have a long journey, it’s worth it. Really well done course.

Both the cliffs and the links courses are great. Really great. The caddies? Yikes, had a few over a few days and personally didn’t have the worlds greatest experience, but it was good enough.

The grounds are nice. The swag is great too. Overall a wonderful location, golf course, employee mix, restaurants and time at Cabot Cap Breton.
