A true lifesaver in our time of need when we were 1500 miles from home. Was here with open arms and we cannot thank them enough.
Easily the best mechanic experience I have ever had.
We were down for a weekend camping trip and the check engine light came on about 20 km from the campground. Stopped in here and he immediately dropped everything to diagnose the problem.
He needed a part, and since it was late Friday couldn't get it couriered so he called around to see if anyone had it, when no one did he called people he knew who may be making the trip from Sydney to try to grab it. With no luck there he posted on Facebook to find someone making the trip who could pick it up.
He found someone to bring it Saturday, and was able to make the repair for me Sunday morning.
No charge for the expedited work, for the rush courier or for the extra time he put in tracking down someone to grab the part. Just charged the cost of the part and half an hour of labor for changing it out. I wish all mechanics were as kind and honest.
My transmission broke as we exited the Cabot Trail, leaving us stranded 2,500km from home, with 5 days of vacation left in a small and isolated village (Chéticamp) if you are talking in terms of mecanical services.
The nearest transmission shop (Sydney) had a two week wait list, other shops were located in the Halifax area and difficult to reach with a broken car, leaving us in a really tough situation.
Pat Boudreau, the mecanic, went above and beyond to get us a ''new" transmission delivered and install it, a job Boudreau's Service Center does not usually take care of if my understanding is correct. He worked late in the evening to remove the old one, and early in the morning to add the new one when he received it after a few days. We were able to make it back home in time thanks to his efforts and resourfulness.
Thanks again, I thought you would like to know that we made it safely back home almost exactly 24h after the car was ready!
Amazing experience! Our car started to make weird noises (we were on a big roadtrip) and he repaired it as fast as he could - even drove to another town to get the right part! In a few short hours we were back on the road! Highly recommend!
I had car troubles while roadtripping and Pat made sure my car would be repaired within a day. He litteraly saved my trip while being nice and reassuring. Excellent service!
