Very beautiful hiking trail. Beginning is good for beginner hikers but gets more difficult. Scenery is beautiful and area is so peaceful. Definitely a favorite

We always love hitting up this trail when we are short on time to travel far from home and it's never a disappointment ! It has so much stunning Nova Scotia scenery and a moderate/difficult trail for those who love a good challenge! And as you see places to camp however no fires allowed which is fine for us as we have the gear to enjoy it otherwise, so if camping go prepared.

Bluffs has 3 gorgeous trail options (loops) so it is Great for a day hike or for those who like to take their time options for a few days to unpack and enjoy a little piece of our beautiful province close to the city without feeling like you are still in it.

Wonderful beautiful day out hiking with a ninety one year old Grandpa. Bluff Wildness Trial is around the Cranberry Lake. The path is inundated with clear trail marks. Part of the trail is by the lake. We saw the calm and still lake side reflection by the water. And birds flew across the lake. You could launch your canoe or stand up paddle board there and paddle on the quiet lake.
We went up the hills, climbed few rocks, hiked down the slopes, walked across a little stream, hiked up to a look off area. What a spectacular view of the Cranberry Lake and a little Island in the middle of the lake. All painted by the rich fall colors with various shades of red, yellow, purple, black, blue, orange, magenta, and brown. The sceneries were breathtaking.
We took a deep breath and smell fresh pine fragrance.
At the beginning of the trail, there was a warning sign about bear and moose. Too bad we did not see any bear or moose. But we saw a snake slithering across the trail, squirrels chasing each other. There were few beautiful friendly dogs greeting us with their owners who also enjoyed the trail. We saw a group of people hiking up to the Bluff with camping gears. I am sure there must be a good place to set up their tents.
Along the path, we walked on red leaves, golden pine needles, green moss, giant grey white rocks.... hike for 3 hours, 6 km, took lots of pictures.
It was a great blessings to have 3 generations hiking together. We all have a fantastic day.

This is a beautiful hiking trail. There is a great walking trail where the train tracks were. The more intermediate hike leads up around hills and boulders.

Beautiful trail! I went into the wilderness trail and did the first loop with my dog. In my opinion it's not a trail for beginners, and would be difficult with small children as it is very rocky. Beautiful scenery and some nice views of the surrounding areas. Took about 2.5-3hrs, is roughly 8km from parking area and back.
