(September 25, 2018, 3:34 pm)Really fun local place to eat. The chowder was the best we had our entire trip. The location was exceptional sitting on the deck and just looking at the scenery.
The one thing that was really disappointing was the lack of local craft beer and cider. Because we love local wherever we are, we specifically asked out waitress about local drats and cider. We were told the only cider was Angry Orchard and that there were no draft beers available.
With the fantastic local choices I was really surprised they had zero local representation on their menu. So I took away one star for that. -

(September 20, 2018, 1:12 am)Stopped in after Peggy's Cove on recommendation. It did not disappoint. It's a waterfront view in a casual dining restaurant. The food is what makes this stop worthwhile. The lobster chowder pleased everyone all around. A cup is a generous and creamy portion. I had the lobster grilled cheese, my husband had the chowder and lobster roll. We were both pleasantly surprised and satisfied. I'd love to go back for the full lobster experience.

(August 4, 2018, 11:44 pm)We've been meaning to stop in for a meal and today was the day. The parking lot was pretty full but we got a friendly greeting and a table on the deck. Quickly chose cups of chowder and a fish cake meal to share. Shared a locally brewed beer as well. Wow. Everything was perfect. Best fishcakes I have ever tasted and I LIVE in Nova Scotia! The chowder was rich and full of delicious fish and seafood. When we left there was a lineup and the parking lot was packed. All the staff are relaxed, personable and prompt. Attentive but not annoying. No one looked frazzled and all patrons looked happy. Every plate full of food that passed by looked great so we'll be back soon! The location is very peaceful and scenic - right on the ocean.

(July 12, 2018, 10:59 am)The slogan for this place is “Beer and Lobster: Enough Said”, and really, what more do you need said? The place has an outdoor patio and a wheelchair ramp leading from it, so my mother was able to easily access it. I ordered the seafood chowder which was lovely, and my mother ordered the lobster sandwich. She said the sandwich was pretty tasteless though, but interestingly, I tasted the fries and they were great. Extra crispy and delicious. The place was busy when we were there and the staff didn’t serve us as well as we hoped, but all in all, it was definitely an enjoyable experience.
