Service is terribly slow, probably about half the speed of the other meat shops in the market and not because there are more customers waiting. The people behind the counter seem to keep themselves busy but nobody bothers to look up to see if you want service. I’ve had people who arrived several minutes later get service first. They need a quicker more organized approach

(December 30, 2017, 4:51 am)One of the best places to get meat in Halifax, if I have the time I will always get meat from here over anywhere else. All of the staff are super friendly and service is quick and easy.
The meat itself is fantastic, everything I've tried has been great. I appreciate the local produce and supporting local businesses. -

(January 14, 2017, 2:41 pm)My wife and I have purchased all of our beef, chicken and pork from Getaway for about 3 years now. We pre order each week and go in to pick up on the weekends. Chris, Ben and rest of the team provide great service and generally there are no issues with our order. We would recommend Getaway to anyone who is looking for grass fed, quality meat in the Halifax area.
