They offer gluten free and vegetarian .The seafood chowder had generous chunks of lobster and salmon, very tasty. Loved the homemade soft sea salt caramels. They also have a bakery which sells yummy looking cookies and squares. Can see why this place needs reservations in the summer!

(March 10, 2019, 3:09 am)Really nice spot. My friends and I stopped in for a quick coffee and a snack. We had the soup of the day, which was delicious and flavorful. Bright, comfortable dining room and interesting art selection. Highly recommend.

(January 19, 2019, 7:37 pm)Best chowder in The Halifax Regional Municipality hands down. This is a great place to stop on the way to or way back from Peggy's Cove. Service is good. Prices seem reasonable for what you get.
The chowder is full of lobster and other seafood! I definitely don't feel that they are skimping on the ingredients. I was surprised at the generous quantity. I hope this doesn't change because this will be the reason I return to the Rhubarb.
