Halifax Surf School

We had 2 awesome surf days at Martinique Beach with boards and suits rented from Mark. Great customer service. Enthusiastic, friendly, attentive support throughout both days. We are a family of 5 and all had a great time on the water. For our boys (17,14,12), it was definitely the highlight of our whole East Coast trip. Mark even came out and surfed with us for a while which was totally cool. We highly recommend Mark and also Martinique Beach as an ideal place to get surfing on the East Coast. We are already talking about our next trip back!

I can not get the smile off my daughter face after her surf lesson today! Emma was a fantastic instructor, she was patient, kind and encouraging. Mark suggested a private lesson because of her age (9) and I think it worked out perfectly! She ended up staying in the water from 11am-2:30pm! I have to say the whole experience with Halifax Surf school was 5star start to finish! Thank you Mark and Emma!

AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!!
The owners are two young, inspiring and passionate surfers who simply love what they do and want people to discover the awesome sport which is surfing. They are very nice, have contagious smile and showed us all the basics we needed to know to start surfing.
The equipment which is then included for the whole day was in good condition and the wetsuit very warm and perfect for the water temperature.
I highly recommend this school!!!! We loved our experience :)!

Halifax Surf School is THE place to go for Surfing Lessons and Rentals!! Mark has the best gear - Quality Boards and Wetsuits for all abilities and sizes. We had a small group for our lesson with 2 instructors. You can get as much or as little help as you'd like. I can't wait to go back! Highly recommend. The beach is also the BEST! It's not rocky like Lawerencetown and is quite shallow which is great for beginners. Surf is fabulous. Thank you Mark and staff - Shout out to Anna who is super patient.

My husband and I decided to try surfing for the first time during our recent trip to Halifax. We had an awesome experience! Our instructor was knowledgeable, relaxed, patient and enthusiastic. We loved having the opportunity to use the equipment after the lesson. Beautiful location and amazing waves! We felt safe and had the best time. We would highly recommend this surf school to anyone.
