This place. I can barley get through this review without getting emotional.

I (as most going to Physio) have had a very long few years trying to walk and dealing with an injury.

Sushu Parab is a Physiotherapist there, and without eggageration she saved my life and made me walk again. I started physio one year before I had knee surgery, and it was tough. She was there through every tear, giving me hugs, pep talks and being my crutch through it all. . Then surgery happened.

I didn’t think I was going to make it through the recovery. It was the hardest physically and mentally that I’ve ever been through. Sushu goes ABOVE AND BEYOND. She was my main person through this recovery.

She called me after surgery to check on me , helped me in my lowest of lows , and pushed me to walk again. She is more than a physiotherapist. She is a professional , AMAZING , physiotherapist but she is so much more than that.

People don’t realize how mentally tough an injury and surgery can be, and all the stresses in between. She was there for me EVERY step of the way.

Sushu doesn’t just see you as a patient, she truly is invested in you. She wants you to succeed as a person. She , and can’t say this enough, was my everything to get through surgery and this whole experience. She goes above and beyond for her patients every moment of her life, and I will never be able to thank her enough for what she’s done for me. She wasn’t just my physiotherapist through this- she was my rock, and I can’t believe I’m walking and almost fully have my life back.

She is the most wonderful person and I am so grateful that I had her through this process.

But not only Sushu- the staff in Dartmouth is in your corner . They know you by name , know how to joke with you, know how to be there for you when you’re having a bad day . Eric is one of the most compassionate, PATIENT, and caring individuals. He’s one of the hardest working people I know - again, a staff of people that go above and beyond. Eric has made things so easy for me for paperwork, etc. even offering me a timbit when I’m hanging around the office! It’s honestly the little things and it’s so nice to see a friendly face or hear a friendly voice on the phone- especially going through an injury that’s mentally exhausting.

Peter is also an incredibly upbeat and amazing person- the staff there always puts a smile on your face even in the toughest of days. Again- I think Peter greeted me by name since the day he started working there! It’s always so nice to chat with him at citadel Dartmouth.

Megan is another staff member I had the pleasure of being around, she was up front with me when I asked questions about my brace, crutches, cold pack machine. She made things relatable and .. easy! They make the interaction easy, like you’re old friends , you can call them after surgery and they genuinely care about you. It’s a fresh breath in a tough situation.

I’ve also had the pleasure of getting a massage from Lindsay, and she was a very caring person (and boy does she do good work with a therapeutic massage) she LISTENS! So well. She cares about your injury, consults with your physiotherapist, and has a individualized plan for each patient. I felt very looked after and comfortable.

Again.. I can’t stress how much I felt looked after, and continue to feel looked after, and citadel dartmouth. I feel like they’re family at this point. I see them treat EVERY patient the same - genuinely caring about every single person who comes in, working and doing every single thing possible to get you better and be the rock you need.

I am so blessed to have had them throughout my injury , surgery, and now post recovery. It’s been a long road, but the love in this clinic is big. Even patients to patients - I’ve stuck around to talk to patients and be the person they needed in that bad day moment , because they did the same for me in the tough times. So much support!

When I needed this staff the most, they were there for me. And I will forever be grateful.

I love this place. Thank you! And especially, thank you Sushu
