(March 12, 2019, 5:17 pm)Update: I finally received a cheque for the additional cost I incurred so I appreciate Jade Stone sorting this out. As I said previously, their workmanship was excellent and the staff very pleasant to deal with. We bought a countertop through Ikea and Jade Stone is the contractor that did the job. They did a fantastic job except for one thing - they cut the opening for our cooktop the wrong size - too big. To cut a long story short (this has been going on since Dec 22nd), we decided to swop our cooktop for a larger one which was cheaper and better for everyone but we ended up having to pay a re-stocking fee of over $400 which of course we wanted to be reimbursed for. Ikea have wiped their hands from the whole issue even though we paid Ikea not the contractor and today I heard that there is a cheque on the way but it will still be a few more weeks. Really? How long does it take to do the right thing by a customer?
