(July 2, 2020, 11:14 pm)Ok i'm going to ignore the lighthouse... so sue me!! If you can get there, Devil's Island is a WONDERFUL place for birding: like its neighbour Harten's Point, it has a surprising variety of habitats, and is visited in the fall and spring by many tired birdies looking for a spot to rest on their migration - or just blown off course in a storm.

(November 16, 2019, 3:35 am)Rugged little island at the mouth of Halifax harbour. Only one good spot to land a kayak on the north side. Small active light house and a few old house foundations are all that remain. Lots of different sea birds use the island for nesting and protection.

(June 27, 2013, 4:11 am)If you have managed to get here(it is on an island with no standard transportation) then you will be able to see a couple of abandoned houses and the lighthouse.
Why it is spelt lighthiuse, I do not know.
If you plan on camping here be advised that helicopters fly nearby on a daily basis.
