(January 18, 2023, 4:31 pm)If you’re looking for great food and an experience that’s as close to Jamaica as we’ll get in the HRM , Xaymaca is here! We’ve been awaiting their opening and we weren’t disappointed.
Everyone we’ve met there has been really nice, but we had the pleasure of hanging with Ryan last night and he’s simply amazing. So friendly and welcoming - he knows how to make you feel like family.
The food was fantastic too and we did NOT leave hungry with their large sized portions on order. And yes…they have Red Stripe!
Between the yummy Island food, their ice cream stand in the summer, and possibly a beer garden in the future?! We’re excited to have a new neighbour in the area (we’ll be back again soon to try the Caribbean Boil)! -

Very satisfied and will be returning.

(November 3, 2022, 6:40 pm)It is so nice to have a place like this in the neighbourhood. It took forever for it to open and we finally got in to try the food. I had the jerk chicken and goat curry combo and it was all delicious. Just the right amount of spice to make for an enjoyable Jamaican meal. I will be back to try some of the other items on the menu. Nice location and great friendly staff.

(October 15, 2022, 9:57 pm)Fantastic meal, I had the oxtail , jerk chicken and white rice with steamed vegetables..... Although the chicken was dry the meal itself was unbelievably good. Very friendly staff in the meal came out pretty quick. I will absolutely be back.
