(September 14, 2023, 2:34 am)The food and service was great! The atmosphere is what you would expect in Digby; a little country feeling dinner. We both got a lobster roll and chowder and there was no complaints at all! Both were amazing and fresh. I got the carrot cake for desert and it was by far the best I’ve had in years. Highly recommend

(August 23, 2023, 2:21 pm)Service was great. The lobster roll was quite good. The seafood chowder was a little bland. It needed salt and pepper, in my opinion. Fortunately, that is easily remedied. 🙂

Took about 10 minutes for someone to greet us, then said our table is in the back (without guiding us) and then took another 10 minutes for them to ask what drink we’d like; but they were at least polite to us. Food was okay. Had the seafood platter, clams were okay, scallops were actually really really good (pan fried), shrimp wasn’t bad, haddock was alright (but not exactly “good”). Don’t know if I’d return

(July 23, 2023, 2:38 pm)Great little place, always busy when we went but the staff deals with orders quickly and efficiently. Very little wait time from being eated to being served. We enjoyed the seafood platter so much we went back the next evening for chowder, lobster sandwich and pan fried haddock. If you're tired of fries, ask for mashed.

(July 5, 2022, 10:59 pm)We were in Digby visiting and stopped at Captain's Cabin downtown for a late dinner. I didn't get a picture of my wife's food but it was stuffed pork roast which she really enjoyed.
As appetizers, we ordered bacon wrapped scollaps, and battered mushrooms to share. I ordered Scallops St. Jacques, and my daughter ordered Shrimp Fettucine which came with 4 pieces of garlic bread.
The food was served hot, and the waitress was very helpful and friendly even though there was only two waitresses working with a full house they still handled their customers like pros! The food was delicious and even though the restaurant was packed it still only took 20 minutes or so to get our food which was very impressive!
Overall we got good portions of food that we all really loved and we will go back again for sure! My compliments to the Chef and our waitress for a job well done! Keep up the great work! 👍👍
