  Very well done. Try to get a more experienced guide, though. In the start of the summer they train new ones in, and there can be less consistency

  Amazing; informative & enjoyable experience Bell Island Mine tour. Number 1 thing I recommend for anyone visiting Newfoundland. Our tour guide Brian brought to life what it was like back then - working 10 hours by candle light in very treacherous conditions. Stories he told - passed down from his Grandfather & Great Grandfather were entertaining and informative. The museum had many interesting artifacts - all with historical significance & accompanied with a story. The staff were very friendly; professional & there were many beautiful items available for purchase. Highly recommended the tour & follow up with a delicious feed of Fresh Cod & homemade fries dressing & gravy @ Dick's Fish and chips.

  Mine tour was so wonderful, but bring a jacket for sure. The cafe has a great Jumping Bean coffee roasted specially for the tour. Highly recommended

  Absolutely fantastic. Museum and mine tour were so interesting. The tour guide had intimate knowledge of the operation of the mine, primarily because she had relatives that worked in the mine. Well worth the visit.

Bell Island #2 Mine and Community Museum 13 Compressor Hill, Bell Island, NL Hours of Operation: 10 AM to 6 PM daily June 1 to September 30 PLEASE NOTE: You are advised to wear a jacket or sweater and suitable footwear for the tour of the #2 Mine. The final tour for the day leaves at 5PM.
