Family Pharmacy Plus

What can I say about this place, let alone the people who run it. It has been years since I’ve written a review about “now” what’s called Family Pharmacy Plus, formerly The Medicine Shoppe. I am by no means a review writer and often times like to complain more than anything. I could go on for hours about the awesome treatment I receive from this family owned business. When most people are released from the hospital after a horrific injury or illness they often go home and rest, while sending somebody else to get their prescriptions for them. I insist upon immediate release, while still in severe pain to walk into this pharmacy. The purpose of my insisted visit is to see them. They alone provide me with an interaction of healing, much more than what any medication could do. I am by no means related to this family, nor have I ever even been to their home. What I can say is over the years and within the few minutes I met them they became such close individuals to myself and to my family. They are an Intercal part of my medical team and I am proud to say that. They will go above and beyond and have done so on many, many occasions for myself and for my family in order to advocate for our well being. The owners Kathy and Tim, along with their daughter Marcy have been the most compassionate, giving and caring people in the medical community that I’ve ever met. Their pharmacist Amy is simply awesome!!! Her equally compassionate, caring, and giving nature leaves me speechless. You see there is still a way to adhere to the laws of New York State and provide your patients with the respect and dignity that they deserve. You other pharmacists could benefit a thing or two from visiting this pharmacy and watching how they interact with people. In fact it should be included in your training. It is truly unnecessary to shout across a crowded room about people’s conditions and interrogate them, all the while embarrassing them to make yourself feel better. I have walked out of many other pharmacies ashamed and embarrassed. Walgreens, Rite Aid, CVS pharmacy, Tops pharmacy could do nothing, and I mean nothing like these folks do. You are simply crazy if you stay with any other pharmacy in the Lockport NY area. Trust me, it’s very well worth a visit to this place to at least check it out. I can honestly say that they have changed my life for the better. They are truly an Intricate part of my medical team!!!!! I now consider them family.

Great place, great people

Great place. I switched there this year and was a major bonus. Pharmacist Tim so knowledgeable. Helped me with insurance problems that my past pharmacy negated to even find. Also have great gifts among their wares. Nice family oriented place. Have a privacy room to discuss matters. Can't say enough of place.

New name!! Family Pharmacy Plus. Who can say they love their pharmacy? I definitely can. The Family Pharmacy Plus, formerly The Medicine Shop, provides the personal attention to each individual that has been forgotten by all the big chains.
I only go for my annual flu shot and on a rare occasion, a prescription. Even though it may only be once a year, when I walk in the door everyone greets me by my first name. But it's not only for me. I've noticed the same thing with every customer. The Pharmacist and owner, Tim Gallegos RPh, never fails to take the time to explain in detail everything about the vaccine or the prescription.
Did you know for instance, that this year's flu shot is not made with dead flu cells, therefore it's impossible to get sick from it. Also the brand of flu shot that they carry is the only one manufactured in the United States.
Real focused personalized service is a rare thing to find in any business these days. The Family Pharmacy Plus achieves that with sincerity and passion.
