Our brother recently died in unforeseen and tragic circumstances. Our family and friends were devastated. We were at a loss as to what he may have wished for a service or final tribute. The staff and management of Wood Funeral Home guided us through the entire process, easing our pain and resulting in a wonderful and memorable service for Tim. We will be forever grateful to them. The Funeral Director and his staff were extremely professional and allowed us to say goodbye to our Father in the most memorable and beautiful way. The facility offers a very warm and comfortable atmosphere. An elevator is available for the disabled and senior visitors - a member of the staff was there to assist and greet those who came to pay their last respects. The Funeral Director also arranged for “The Patriots” to lead our Dad’s funeral procession down Main Street in East Aurora on their motorcycles playing “Amazing Grace’ as we travelled to the Church. Bystanders respectfully stopped for our Navy WW11 Veteran Father - it was so beautiful words cannot describe what this meant to our family. Also arranged was a ceremony with 3 members of the Navy at the cemetery- the final tribute our Father so much deserved. I highly recommend Wood Funeral Home whom allowed us to feel comfort that we were able to provide our Father with the warmest deserving goodbye to his final resting place.
