(August 18, 2019, 9:29 pm)We stayed at the blackberry winter cabin on first Connecticut lake for two nights and really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very clean and the view from the porch was amazing (see photos). Very private, and when sitting on the porch you can't see any other cabins nearby. Fire pit by the beach is a great spot to sit, and beach is great for kids and swimming as it's very gradual entry. Will definitely be back

(August 11, 2019, 11:12 pm)Stayed at one of Lopstick's Beach Road cabins and was disapppointed in the cabin's condition v'rs other high end Lopstick property I have stayed at. The location was superb if your a fisherman, like myself, as you can't get any closer to the shoreline if you tried. However, the cabin smelled awful, of cigarette smoke and a musty smell. Even with most windows open, the smell did not go away. Pretty gross.
There were ashes in one of the ice cube trays which I left as is, in hopes that someone else sees it. Many of the shades are torn, a window sill rotted out so there's a good size hole going outside. Cobwebs on the lamp and where walls meet the ceiling. Not all windows have screens down and storms where they are supposed to be. It may be nitpicking but I expected a beautiful cabin and didn't get what I anticipated. Having stayed at a competitor in most recent trips to Pittsburg I thought I'd try Lopstick again. With the exception of fishing outside my door, I probably won't go there again anytime soon. -

(June 19, 2019, 3:03 am)We booked a night staying at Lopstick. It was a last minute as another place we book 1 month in advance stood us up. We got a good price for a nice private cabin with kitchen, bedroom, living room looking out to this beautiful view. Happy
