Hôtel du Vieux Port

A beautiful old house. Everything was very clean & of good quality. I would like to rate our experience higher but the mattress is my one complaint. The mattress was comfortable for lounging on top of initially & gave the appearance of luxury. But it is a very thick pillow-top mattress which after a couple hours of sleeping feels more like a laying In a sagging hammock. This caused a somewhat fitful sleep as I woke frequently with an aching back trying to find a comfortable position. For me, a mattress with a pillow-top half as thick as what is there now would have felt far more luxurious. I believe the choice of mattress to be well intentioned but, for me, a misguided choice.
Unfortunately the café at the front was closed for the season, so I can’t say anything other than it looks nice.
We will certainly consider staying again the next time we’re in the area as we really liked all other aspects of our stay.

Can’t believe only discovered this gem mid summer!! Incredible spot, excellent crêpes!!

Our first reaction to the suite was WOW!(although we had to crawl through a tunnel to get to the room). Indeed, the suite was amazing even though the pictures were a bit deceiving. Our first problem was that the A/C wasn't working to even a tenth of its capacity. It was 30+ degrees in the room and we needed a fix ASAP. They called their maintenance guy and he went out to buy a portable A/C unit to accomodate us for the night. All the employees were super helpful and the manager Corinne was very helpful and amazing. She even hooked us up with a discount price for the night for the trouble. It wasn't perfect but with employees like these , everything will be perfect soon.

The tasting menu was great! Good selection of wines. Very pleased with the dinner.
