(March 18, 2020, 8:08 pm)We stayed in the newly renovated garage, main house closed for season. Beautiful wood interior, and nice finishing touches. But the best part are the hosts Kaz and Jo. This couple leaves you feeling welcomed like family. If you need anything don't hesitate to ask. And added bonus, Joe has "Not your Average" art studio that is full of beautiful, unique local art. Highly recommend adding a stop to your stay and maybe even joining a painting workshop like we did. A beautiful spot for heart, mind, soul and body. We walked to the beach from the hostel, wow!

(January 3, 2020, 8:29 pm)Super friendly owners and super comfy beds! They have a fire pit in the back and are a 5 minute walk to the beach and other attractions. Don’t forget to check the tide!

(October 28, 2019, 1:06 pm)We were not sure what to expect staying in a hostel , but we had a fantastic night's stay .Very quiet and peaceful our Seaside suite was very comfortable and perfect for our needs .Kaz was there to greet us after our long drive from Nova Scotia, offering amazing hospitality and happily letting us make sure our beagles were looked after before settling them for the night.Wish we could have stayed longer and got to walk the beaches and see Saint Martins in the day time, hopefully next year!!!! We were late coming here and the owner stayed up past 10pm to welcome us. Great place, comfy beds. We wore a large group with lots of kids and everyone was comfortable here. Thanks for hosting us Kaz and Joe! -

(August 26, 2018, 7:06 pm)Wow. I have no idea how we will top the first night stay of our vacation at Not Your Average Hostel. We were blown away by every part of our stay - the gorgeous Victorian home, the stunning scenery and the amazing hospitality of our hosts: Kaz and Joe. We had a blast hanging out with others staying at the hostel, sampling the hosts’ homemade wine and getting to know one another. The beds were ridiculously comfortable and the common spaces were comfortable and welcoming - especially the sunny little book nook. My family and I loved this hostel and you will too!
