  Lake Huron in the cold rain! We had a great time, just forget that drizzle! We walked the ice-lined shore, picking up rocks and making memories!

  Parking was free here and you would not have to pay toll to enter this park. So we chose this spot. Serene water, so weekend chill good.

  Better and cleaner than the State Park up the road. The beach is gorgeous and sandy. There's plenty of parking facilities. Bathrooms are clean. If you have kids, watch out for the poison ivy that grows near where the forest starts and a little bit into the sand. Just stay on the beach and paved trails. There's a few shelters, water fountains and 4 feet washing stations. There's a big play structure and play area. Also a paved trail through the woods that is great for running.

  I absolutely loved my experience here at Fort Gratiot park. The beach was clean and the sand in the water was so soft! It wasn't too crowded and there were so many cool ocean rocks to look at. Although the water was a bit cold in the middle of July, it was clear and felt great! Would recommend this park. hands down.

Fort Gratiot County Park has it all and is one of the most handicap/wheelchair accessible parks or beach I have ever seen. All of the pathways are paved. There is a plank ramp to get to the water, and even a **beach wheelchair available for use** (it is locked up, but there is a sign with a number you can call to unlock it!).
