The Dance Method

My 4 year old started taking dance classes here in September 2021. We were nervous about her being around other kids since her dad is immunocompromised, and we know not everyone takes COVID precautions as seriously as we do. I was so happy to see that they have a very organized system for keeping everyone safe! They even sent us class recordings since we couldn’t stay in the studio and watch. The recordings only confirmed that this was the perfect studio for us. Their instructors are engaging, knowledgeable, and know just how to work with this age group. Each week that my daughter had “good listening ears” she was given a sticker. It was a really good motivator for our very easily distracted child. Shout out to Ms Kaylah, Ms Emily, and Ms Orielle for being such a delightful addition in our lives!

got to see Orielle's choreography and students/dancers in a video shoot and was blown away by how good they were. i never truly appreciated how athletic and hard it must be to be a dancer and to come up with moves to fit the song.... it was super impressive.... and the camaraderie among the dancers was cool... goofing around and laughing and supporting each other... sharing ideas... so positive. i think dance would be a fun and healthy way for kids to stay active, build teamwork and provide a lifelong "sport" to stay healthy and live long.... i highly recommend TDM for anything dance related!

Orielle came back to Winnipeg at the peak of her career to open Winnipeg's newest studio. She is a very well rounded dancer, teacher and choreographer of many styles and a world class specialist of "heels" . The studio is a great space with 2 classrooms, change rooms and a space for the kids to do homework. My daughter is a full-time student else where but she takes drop-in classes at TDM when she can and absolutely loves the staff who make her feel so welcome. This is a great modern studio that cares about Winnipeg's dance community and has already enriched it.

My daughter participated in their 'Free Dance Summer Kick-Off' event. It was a great way to sample their different dance styles and teachers. My daughter is normally shy in new situations but they were GREAT with her and had her happily participating in no time. She had a blast! Great with kids. Beautiful studio. Kid-friendly teachers. Will likely be signing her up for one of their programs. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
