Hearth Homes

I'm writing an in-depth review, and ultimately giving Hearth 5 stars because their service is just out of this world amazing.

Let's start from the beginning. Linda was great to deal with, on figuring out my plan and and exactly what I wanted in a house. We chatted for a while, visited a few of their different show homes and landed on one that I liked but wanted customized. The job cost card was fairly accurate, but make sure you go through everything. I asked for a copy of their showhome, and was quite surprised when the countertops were an upcharge since I had thought I had the countertops selected from the show home. That was a shock, and one of the things I do wish they were a bit more transparent on.

Then on to the planning and selections. For the most part, this was fairly smooth. I had a good idea of what I wanted in the house, so it didn't hold anything up. There was a bit of a mixup when working out the details on the driveway, but it was dealt with. I wish I took a bit more time in my walkthroughs, because there was one mishap that I should have caught in one. We had moved a doorswing to allow for a light switch in a different spot, but then we left the light switch in the original spot. But, hearth actually came and fixed it up when I asked them to as I didn't feel it was entirely fair I got the worst of both worlds, and we had discussed it.

Everything done in the home has been superb quality so far, and any issues that have come up are dealt with promptly. I talk to the neighbors, who are building with others and they have significantly more problems, that are not being dealt with. My neighbor who built with a Qualico company still is waiting on his driveway while a massive pile of rocks sit there and he can't use it at all. They told him it will be done when it's done. That's not how hearth works. Hearth is upfront and honest, they will tell you exactly what they know in terms of timelines and try their best to accommodate them.

Seth and Wade are both amazing people to deal with, and very reasonable. Seth really goes above and beyond to get the job done right, he's a guy who takes pride in his work and doesn't just slap things together. They always are super responsive to my messages, and when I have an issue they have someone out right away. Don't expect everything to be 100% smooth sailing, things happen along the way, but Hearth is extremely flexible in working with you.

If I can give any advice to anyone reading this - trust Hearth to build your home correctly. I had some hesitations after reading a million horrible things online about shoddy builders. But remember you're coming to Hearth because they're not that.

Building a new home with Hearth Homes is an easy and rewarding experience. They worked diligently with us to build our forever home. Communication was easy and straightforward. No surprises with them. The trades they hire are quality craftsmen. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Best experience yet with getting a brand new home, not just a house. Wonderful people to deal with and we strongly recommend them to anyone looking to build their dream home.

Hearth-homes built our house from our own house plan. They modified an existing plan to fit our design. The house was built AHEAD of schedule and on budget. We are very particular and was up at the house monitoring progress everyday. The project management team of Brandi, Liam and Seth were fabulous. Seth, the site foreman explained every step of the work and was quick to address any mistakes that were made. There were very few mistakes throughout the process. Everything was addressed promptly. We are now in our house for just over 12 months. There was virtually nothing to address at the one year cut off. The sub-trades were all professional with great attention to detail. We have had other friends go through the building process recently. They all had many nightmares to share with their builders. Hearth was a pleasure to work with. We have a very high quality custom built house we are very proud of.
