Alan in Sales and Adam in Technical Services have been a superb team to take us through all the steps from appropriate design to installation and setup. Their advice has been prompt and thorough. The integration of the Air-Hydronic Heat Pump with the Alt Source Exchange Tank is well designed and functioning well down to our northern Minnesota nights down to -30 F.

I had been heating a radiant floor system and making domestic hot water with a propane water heater since 2015. The rising cost of propane and the problems of home heating with fossil fuel led me to want a change, and in April of 2021 I installed an Arctic 060ZA air-to-water heat pump.

I chose this unit for several reasons, firstly because of its simplicity -- an electrical connection and a supply and a return water pipe. As well, the unit has very good performance specs that are easy to access and understand, demonstrating that the Arcitc technology works through the entire year, including our deep Canadian winter season. I also appreciated the benefits of a made-in-Canada solution.

The installation was basically a lot of plumbing work, which I was able to do myself. I wouldn't recommend this as a typical DIY project, but I had the advantage of many years experience with my heating system and knew its demands. I was also able to re-purpose our propane water heater as the heat pump's buffer tank. And, finally, I was able to take buffer tank heat off through a small heat exchanger to pre-heat our domestic hot water.

There were no serious problems in this installation, and the few questions I did have were answered promptly and helpfully by Arctic staff. The unit has been running for nine months now, and is very quiet, purring along through a colder than normal winter this year, and meeting its performance predictions very nicely.

I just wanted to let you guys know that my Arctic Heat Pump is running very well. We just went through an extreme cold snap in Alberta and our house was toasty warm. It is my second year with this product and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to save money on their heating bill.

I purchased an Arctic Heat Pump system to heat our new home in Golden BC. Mid way into January 2022, the heat pump is working well to run the radiant in-floor heating on our main level as well as 3 fan coils on the second floor. We chose this system due to the cold weather rating of -25C as well as the ability to cool the house with the fan coils.

We haven't seen any -25C yet this year but at -23C the heat system has had no trouble keeping us warm without use of the backup.

The company that installed our system (Njord Energy Systems) is very knowledgeable and provided excellent service as we got set up and worked out the kinks in the new system.

Very happy with the Arctic 060 heat pump and Dan’s support! It’s nice to work with a small company which produces a quality product and provides great customer service. Dan patiently answered phone calls and emails, and Alan shipped out a new unit promptly when the original came damaged by the shippers.

I have a 4500 sf house and a 1000 sf shop/garage in the Lakes Region of NH. The house is heated to 70F and the garage/shop to 45-50F with radiant heat. The Arctic 060 HP with the EcoUltra buffer tank with electric back-up used about 15,500 kwh this past year, including power for pumps. I’d say the COP values provided in the literature are quite accurate, and probably conservative
