We had a fantastic time on our first - and definitely not last - visit to Hoopla Island! We found the drive out from Winnipeg to be totally worth the effort. The park is located off of the beach at Pinawa, and there are great local facilities as well, such as a monitored sandy beach (with a fun floating dock), walking trails, and picnic spots so that one can easily make a whole day out of a one hour visit to Hoopla Island.

The staff were polite, friendly and vigilant. Rules were explained to everyone prior to starting and were enforced on an as needed basis during our session. The current limit of 30 people per session felt just right, as there was lots of space for everyone to spread out and explore the different elements. The two adults in our group enjoyed the workout of maneuvering through the course, and the little guy had an absolute blast flinging himself through (and off) the obstacles and slides. This was hard work for a couple of overweight adults, but an absolute blast! Life jackets were mandatory (and provided) and we definitely appreciated them after an hour of slippery, splashy fun. Parking is available for free and it was easy to find. Definitely worth checking out!
