  Wanted an activity that would engage our daughter and help her with her interactions with other people...found Kindermusik and it was so much more!! The teachers and staff are amazing and helpful. My daughter wakes on the day of class and is so very excited to go see her friends and teacher. And for myself it turned out to be a great place to meet and talk to other moms - learn about Winnipeg and what the city had to offer to an imported family like mine. Truly a great program and we've loved every minute of it!

  We have been attending Kindermusik classes for 6 years and have only had positive experiences. Every teacher we have had has been energetic and enthusiastic and created a fun and welcoming atmosphere for children of all ages. We use the games and songs we learn in class on a daily basis. In the Music for the Young Child classes it is amazing to see the students learn the fundamentals of music in a fun and age appropriate manner. I would recommend these classes to any family!

  My children have been taking Kindermusik classes for four years and I highly recommend these classes. There are a number of reasons I find Kindermusik exceptional. All of the instructors are phenomenal, have fabulous knowledge of music and child development, and clearly love what they do. Classes and curriculum are thoughtfully planned and teachers go above and beyond to ensure each child has fun, is comfortable, and learns.
  The classes are very fun and have always been favourites of my children. When life gets especially busy, it's a special way to connect with my kids in class. When we take a break in summer from classes, my children ask continuously when they will get to go to music class again.
  We have tried other music classes and Kindermusik stands apart from others. The classes and curricula are theme based and brilliantly planned. This was different from other non-Kindermusik classes we participated in, which were just an assortment of songs and actions led by the teacher. In Kindermusik, you receive home materials, an instrument, a CD, and a home activity book which includes many fantastic learning and play activities. The activities in class introduce many elements of music in a play based exploratory fashion that is developmentally appropriate.
  My daughter is now taking Music for Young Child Year 1 and I'm especially blown away by the brilliant way in which reading music, rhythm, and other foundations of music are broken down and introduced in a fun and playful manner.
  I have a background in early education, music, and I have a Masters in Psychology. I'd like to think I could come up with some pretty good musical activities to do with my kids at home, but I usually leave classes rather impressed!! Not only are these classes giving my children a great musical foundation, but they are providing a many other benefits including developing fine motor skills (writing), phonemic awareness skills (literacy - reading and writing skills), speech and language, social skills, gross motor and many more. But most of all, it is so fun! We love it!

  Kindermusik is such a positive and enriching experience for my two boys. We have attended classes since my 6 year old was 1.5 and my 4 year old was four months. In the younger classes, my kids loved the repetition, movement, free dance and instrument testing. As a parent, it's also great to know that their brains are developing because of all this "fun!" My boys continue to attend five years after we started. Now that my older guy is in Young Child 2, he is learning how to read music and play the glockenspiel and dulcimer and still enjoys it because the program continues to make it fun. I would recommend Kindermusik for everyone!

  Love, love, love Kindermusik Discovery!!! I have taken classes with all 4 of my children from the time they are 6 months old until they are 3 years old and we always have a wonderful time. I have enjoyed watching my children become joyful dancers and enthusiastic musicians in their everyday life. As a mother I have cherished the time to sing, dance, snuggle and explore with my kids. The teachers make the difference in this program! They are engaging, knowledgeable, and clearly have an abundance of experience working with little ones. My children and I will continue to enjoy this program for years to come!
