Awesome trail! Ups, downs, forest, Canadian Shield.... A bit of confusion for us at the midway turn around and I've read that this happens to other people... There should be a sign with more clear directions at the last set of benches telling you to turn back. However, we eventually figured it out. Well worth it!

Great place. Runs through the forest well. Not just a boring straight trail. Some nice ups and downs as well.

Beautiful trail with lots to explore! Beginning of September, so many interesting mushrooms. The hike is a medium intensity as there are hills and the path has many roots and rocks. Not for people with mobility issues. The look out is gorgeous at the view point.

Good ups and downs. Lots of high points on the shield rock if you feel like jumping off trail. 2 things preventing 5 star...the flies were SWARMING like I've never experienced before! Definitely distracting. And the 'return' trail has one starter arrow that points at about a 40 yard wide stretch of shield rock...spent 20 minutes trying to find an actual path...gave up and just returned the way I came!

Gorgeous trail with breathtaking views. Active with wildlife and the odd fellow hiker! Definitely able to spread out though, and didn't feel like a congested trail! Most of the time we definitely felt like it was just us alone on the path.
