(March 3, 2023, 2:42 am)One of our favorite little campsites. Great for a quick overnight or several days. Not quiet at all! Trains run all day and all night but awesome to watch as they snake through the tunnels and wind along the river. There are a few spots to swim but it’s fairly cold and can be dangerous with the strong river currents if not careful. The trains, fishing, starry skies and beauty of this site is amazing though and we’ll always come back.

(July 2, 2022, 3:07 pm)Beautiful spot to camp. Only thing to note is that Goldpan currently (June 29th) doesn’t offer potable water due to elevated lead levels. Bring enough water for drinking, cooking, etc., before arriving.
