Not as great as the campgrounds in Alberta. Washrooms were worse than a dumpyard with waste piled up on the sides. 5/5 for the location though and the friendliness of the staff.

It's a long climb up, but it's worth it.
Most people stop at the first viewpoint on the east side of the Garibaldi campground, but if you want to escape the hordes, 1) arrive early (like 8am), and 2) keep going down the lake past the food storage structure and past the campground (the western edge is marked by signs). There are some nice quiet places to sit that are sheltered from the noisy instagrammers.

I arrived just before 8:30 this morning and the parking lot was nearly full. Bugs are minimal and lots of the wildflowers are out at the top.

    Please be respectful:
    1) don't play loud music on your hike, most people want to enjoy nature, not listen to your idea of "good music"

    2) Stay on the trails!! Life is hard for plants in mountainous places, and it can take them years to grow back if you carelessly step on them. Also, erosion from shortcutting the trails on the slopes weakens the ground and can eventually cause it to wash away (and parts of the trail with it). Respect nature and keep this place preserved for everyone.

It was a beautiful hike from the parking.. the hike is simple with few steeps along the way.. Once you get to the view point.. it’s all down hill, with smaller lakes on the sides.. Garibaldi lake is worth it.. it’s first come first serve, better campground for earlier birds.. To visit panorama, you might need and extra day..

One of British Columbia’s best campgrounds! This is a must stay for all backcountry campers. The tent pads are well spaced, and there are a mix of some with wooden pads and others with a dirt surface. I would recommend trying to visit on a weekday though as it can get crazy with crowds on the weekend. If you make it to the lake, you should also make sure to walk through Taylor Meadows, and climb up to Panorama Ridge and Black Tusk for the most epic view.

Beautiful campsite, with basic compost toilets and shelters. Please remember to pack out whatever garbage you make while there, whether for a day trip or an overnight camp. The park rangers do a great job of keeping the campsite running but too many people appear to refuse to take their garbage with them when they leave. This has forced the park rangers into the unenviable position of playing janitor to park visitors, which they shouldn't be doing. It is so bad that apparently they need to periodically pay helicopters to fly garbage out of the park, at a significant cost to tax payers.
