Donovan Hair Clinic - Whistler

Dr. Donovan is easily the best doctor I have ever had the pleasure of being treated by. I’m so used to being dismissed by other doctors when discussing my concerns and symptoms. Not only does Dr. Donovan actually listen to what I have to say, but he takes that information into account and pays attention to every little detail. I’ve never met a doctor so thorough and so dedicated to helping his patients. My family physician was even surprised by his thoroughness when he sent over a summary of our appointment. I’m only a little under 3 months into his treatment plan, but I’m very confident that Dr. Donovan is the answer to my prayers (I know that sounds dramatic but for anyone that has experienced hair loss, you will know what I mean). I was a little reserved at the thought of being treated through telemedicine but that’s completely changed as I feel like he pays the same level of attention as he would in person. I could not recommend him enough for anyone struggling with hair loss. It is so worth it. He’s a phenomenal doctor and person, which you don’t come by every day.

Dr. Donovan is what a doctor should be. Competent, compassionate, considerate, thorough, listens to and is interested in what his patients have to say--he's the real deal. He does not rush appointments. Hair loss is not necessarily just cosmetic--sometimes there are associated health risks, so do yourself a favour and see Dr. Donovan. (I would give him 6 stars if he would be one of the first specialists to publically endorsed nutrition as key to hairloss treatment!)

If you are having hair loss, don't waste time and go see Dr. Donovan. I have seen at least 4 dermatologists in the last 8 months, and not one gave me a believable diagnosis. Not one was interested in my history of hair loss. Not one took the time and put in the effort to figure out what might be going on. In my experience, my hair loss was treated with a "so what" approach by the doctors I saw. They weren't malicious people, and I'm sure they are good doctors. But I definitely did not feel confident in what they told me or their examinations. I spent more money going to see many doctors in my area than I would have if I had just gone to Dr. Donovan from the beginning after seeing my primary care provider.

Dr. Donovan is thorough. He asks questions you may not even think could be related. He explains things to you. He takes a thorough time line of events and cares about what you have to say. He develops a treatment plan that makes sense. I did not get any of these things from the doctors I had previously seen. He actually speaks competently on the issues associated with hair loss. It's crystal clear that he is an expert in this field.

This is THE doctor you need to see if you are having trouble with hair loss. It is well worth the money and the travel time. My only regret is not getting to him sooner. I left my appointment with renewed hope, and a sense of finally understanding what is going on.
