Rock Solid Adventures Guiding and Personal Training Ltd.

Hannah was patient, funny, and caring for all personality types in our group. I had been waiting all summer for an intro to outdoor climbing course and this was more than I could have asked for.
We spent a lot of time climbing with newly learned techniques, rappelling, anchor-setting, and reviewed the safety of the rock, our anchors, and belay. Hannah also taught us specs on climbing gear and gave us excellent recommendations for starting out.
I will definitely be taking more courses through Rock Solid Adventures in the future!

From the start my experience with Rock Solid adventures was great. Hannah and Andrew's communication was always extremely prompt and informative (even at 11PM the night before when I realized I needed to borrow a few additional items). All of the little details made a huge difference, including the multiple helmets they brought for me to choose from and even loaning me a better lighter backpack for the second day! After discussing my skill level over email with Hannah I was surprised and excited to learn she believed I was capable of much more climbing then I initially thought. I booked the two day package. On day one, Andrew and I worked on getting single pitch systems down, gear placement/cleaning and the ins and outs of slab and crack climbing. This was one of my first time climbing outside and I felt safe yet challenged the whole day. Day two we did a multi pitch day on the Chief. I felt that Andrew selected very good routes that were challenging but fun. I never felt unsafe as Andrew triple checked everything and provided clear instruction and encouragement. I am so appreciative of the team at Rock Solid Adventures for my amazing experience!

I've taken multiple courses with Hannah and also one guided day up the grandwall. She not only is completely bulletproof in her knowledge and systems, she is able to cater the days to the client needs, including choosing more advanced lines when needed. She was super awesome at adding on bonus pitches, letting me challenge myself on leading, while making sure we were completely backed up and safe. Super recommended!

This weekend in Squamish I did an Intro to Rock Climbing course with Hannah Preston who co-runs Rock Solid Adventures. Not only is Hannah a total crusher (translation=a very strong climber), she’s a fabulous teacher of technique and technical systems. If any of you out there want to learn to rock climb or up your game whether via learning safety, lead climbing, multi-pitch, etc., Hannah Preston is a phenomenal guide.

As Co-Founder of Mountain Mentors, I've worked with many guiding companies to facilitate training sessions for our mentorship cohort. Hannah is an incredible teacher, filled with knowledge, patience, and stoke. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking to learn new skills, explore new places, and meet an authentic and kind Canadian guide. Thanks Hannah!
