(February 20, 2019, 2:38 pm)You can start at Rugg Rd, but starting at the parking lot off Blackcomb Way off Silver Star Rd gives you a longer walk along the canal and more history signs about the original canal

(May 20, 2018, 5:16 pm)Great trail with little elevation changes and stunning views. This is the "SilverStar" section of the trail but it's actually much larger. It ties in to the BX trail to the waterfall too!
Dogs are allowed on leash. People with well behaved dogs do sometimes let them off leash and no one seems to mind. Note that although dogs are allowed on the Grey Canal trail they are strangely not allowed on the upper BX trail. There is the rare hiker on the BX trail that has taken it apon themselves to police that rule.
