(February 5, 2019, 2:15 am)Started looking into gyms in April 2018 to start my fitness journey. I went to 5 different places close to home. My 5th one was Steelhead fitness. I called first and this happy enthusiastic voice was on the other end and rambled a huge greeting, (I could not answer the phone with that mouth full of words) I decided, What do I have to loose? The other gyms did not work with my shift work or worse when I walked in the whole 5 feet tall 170 lbs of me. They made me feel about 2 inches tall, too big to come to this gym was the feeling I got. Well, on my way to Armstrong, feeling low and crying. I got ahold of myself and made the biggest decision of 2018 and walked through that yellow door. There in front of me was the enthusiastic voice greeting me again. I signed paper work did the orientation and started that Thursday. My first class I felt nervous of course, this was something new. The trainers were right there and helped me, made modifications for my injuries and physical limitations. First thing i did was join a challenge, it gave me the knowledge of how to get started. I lost 14 lbs in 6 weeks. Most of all I grew stronger, have mobility in my shoulder and have grown in so many ways. It has been just about a year and I go at least 3 times a week. To date have lost over 35 lbs, more confidence in myself. I am inspired by many of my fellow Steel head members and trainers. I inspire people! Wow, I never thought that would happen. That has to be the best compliment anyone could give. This is my time and I choose to spend it with these amazing people. Time is important. If you want to have a great time get stronger and feel great come spend it with us at STEELHEAD FITNESS.
